About Your Instructor
Diane Currie Sam
Her multi-decade career has spanned corporate communications, business education, counselling, writing for musical theatre and new product design. Funny and inspirational as a teacher and speaker, she is known for her wisdom, deep listening skills and ability to find that creative spark inside every student.
Her work has been featured in leading international publications including Inc. Magazine, National Post, National Observer, Disney Channel, and Up! Magazine.
She has taught, written for and consulted with companies and organizations like The University of British Columbia, Vancouver Coastal Health, Capilano University, Foresight Canada, ICOM Productions, Radical Entertainment/Vivendi Games, Leaders to Luminary Training, and the Discovery Centre for Entrepreneurship.
A natural storyteller, she has also written about, taught and developed programs covering critically important social issues like mental health, sustainability, and the prevention of domestic violence.
She is the winner of two product innovation awards for a consumer product she invented and brought to market, and the best thesis award from Trinity Western University for her writing on poetry as a means of healing and transformation.
Diane has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of BC and a Masters of Arts in Psychology from Trinity Western University.
